So i've had a bit of a break from my advice/tip polyvore because of school and what not but i am back!

1. Relax Your Ankles
Ever wondered how professional tap dancers make every step look completely clean? The secret lies in relaxing the ankles. Try not to overuse your ankles in order to perform your steps more quickly. Try using your legs, starting from the hips, limiting movements from the ankles. Allow your legs to do all the work, letting your feet just follow along.
2. Slow Down
Rushing will cause your steps to run together, blending individual tap sounds into one. If you find yourself skipping steps of combinations, slow down. Producing clean tap sounds is much more appealing than sloppy speed tapping.
3. Lean Forward
One of the keys to tap dancing is the placement of your weight. Both of your feet must be capable of being lifted at any moment, so your center of gravity has to stay primarily in the middle. Try holding most of your weight forward when dancing, balancing on the balls of your feet.
4. Keep the Rhythm
When you tap dance, you are doing more than dancing to music...you are making music. Make sure you keep in time to the music you are dancing to, instead of competing for the lead. Try not to get carried away with your own tap sounds. Listen to the music and move in time to the beat. if your tap sounds compliment the rhythm of the music, your audience will be truly mesmerized.

hey girls! So this is how to get my look...
 
Pre make-up routine:
• Wash your face or use some wipes, I like Osiris Aise ones or just ones that are quite full of moisture and not really dry, my skin is dry enough as it is.
• I don’t usually use moisturiser because my wipes include it.
Makeup routine:
• Using a makeup sponge I put my foundation on all over my face, paying close attention to my forehead, temples and under my eyes. – I use Natural Touch foundation from GOSH in the colour 32 Pearl.
• Whilst I’m waiting for that to dry I do my mascara.
• First off I curl my lashes but before this I heat up my eye lash curlers with my hair dryer for a few seconds, it helps keep the curl in and makes them curlier!
• I use two mascaras, one on the top lashes and one on the bottom. Top: eXtreme Curl by MUA and on the bottom: Sky Blue Lengthening Mascara by Barry M.
• After this I grab my powder brush and put my powder on, but not a lot. I use Collection 2000 sheer loose powder in the colour: 1 Barely there (you can tell I’m pale).
• I use a lot of different lipsticks and glosses but usually I stick with my MUA ones because they have the nicest colours I’ve seen and they’re not expensive and everyone has them. I use the pale red almost mauve ones. Don’t use too much though because it’s very strong and they stain your lips very well and it’s impossible to get it off.
• As for blush I just use NYC Cheek Glow in the colour 655 central park pink.
• I use a lot of eyeshaddows but I mostly only wear neutrals because I don’t like wearing statement makeup unless it’s a party, so stick with browns and beige.

I have Ombre hair which means I use colour protecting conditioner and shampoo to keep the colour in, I’d advise this to anyone who has or is thinking about ombre’ing their hair, it does help!

So Lauren, why have you used a picture of yourself?
Well girls and guys, I’m basically the poster girl for acne. I suffer badly badly badly from it and you might not realise this because I hide it pretty well. I have a LOT of acne which comes and goes which makes it unpredictable and basically untreatable, so I thought I’d share my tips with you! ☺
 
1. When you have a pimple one of your goals is to reduce the swelling and flatten it. First step is to try using ice or ibuprofen. Soak a cotton swab and hold it next to your pimple for 5 minutes. This will bring down the swelling and flatten it.
2. If it is oozing use a tinted blemish cream that covers and heals like Clearasil. If you've already popped it, moisturize the area so that it is not flaky or dry from products that you've used to previously treat it.
3. When you are choosing a concealer to cover a zit, pick a thick formula that is quite dry and use a very small, pointy concealer brush to cover it from all angles. It is best to use a makeup brush so that you can get into all the crevices that your finger cannot.
4. Don't brush across but instead dab the concealer onto your little monster, then tap your finger on top to set.
5. Don't choose a concealer that is lighter than your skin tone or you will just bring attention to the thing you are trying to cover up. Focus only on the pimple and not the surrounding area. After you are finished concealing you can blend out to your skin, but do not blend or touch the actual spot.
6. Blot with loose powder to make sure that it remains hidden and the makeup doesn't slide off the pimple's oily surface.
7. Clean your brushes weekly or even daily if you can, you’ll end up spreading oil around your face and that wont help spots at all!
8. Try to draw attention away from your spots if they can be seen, wear some nice mascara or a bright lipstick.
9. NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER touch your makeup at school, you’ll end up fading and rubbing it off, stop leaning your skin on your hands your makeup will go.
10. Don’t share makeup brushes.
11. Wash your face thoroughly to remove all makeup before you go to bed, but preferably as soon as you can after you return home. You want your skin to breath and your acne to get as much fresh air as possible.
12. When applying makeup or a moisturizer, spread it evenly across the entire face.

So, i'm close to finishing high school (about 5 months away YAY!) and someone asked for a tip on how to survive high school! @monkeyswithguns
So here are my tips :)
 
• People always tell you there are more fights in High school and it's a dangerous place - that is a lie. Be yourself, chill out it's just people that were in your shoes once.
 
On the first day expect to see things you don't normally.
• Lunch - usually it is more expensive but it tastes so much better. So take in something if you don’t want to stand in line for ages and pay lots of money.
 
Snack/soda machines - let me tell you I loved it. I wouldn't eat lunch because I wouldn't have time so during class changes I'd run by the machines grab some food then go to my next class.
 
MORE FREEDOM - you get to do so much more, be happy you're not in the other school. High school lets you do oh so much more.
 
On your first day, it probably is a bigger school get to know it and be happy that you're there. I personally didn't like high school because I hated school all together.
• Be nice to classmates, never be mean or say anything nasty, this will make people think badly of you.
• ALWAYS be nice to your teachers, they’re not there to be abused they do a job and they’re good at it if you listen and respect them, if you have a problem with a teacher go to your head of year/house. Get on your all your teacher's good sides. They might be able to help you out someday.
• Do not tell your personal business (everyone is not truly your friend)
• Stay on top of homework. If you start to procrastinate, it will pile up quickly.
• Don't give in to peer pressure. The latest thing that's "in" will be "out" before you can blink.
• Relax. Don't give yourself too much stress. High School isn't the center of your life, and you definitely need some down time once in awhile.
